Ballard Library

The Ballard Library, an 18,000 square-foot facility, features a 3,000 square-foot Neighborhood Service Center and an underground parking garage. This project showcases state-of-the-art recycling, energy efficiency and water conservation, with an 18,000 square-foot green roof that boasts fourteen plant species and serves as a bird habitat. A featured project in Architectural Record magazine, the facility is a recipient of the AIA National Honor Award for Architecture, as well as one of the first recipients of a letter of commendation for design excellence in innovation from the Seattle Design Commission.
