Green River College Salish Hall

2011

Salish Hall features 80,000 square feet of health and science classroom space in addition to humanities, business, and social sciences, an art wing and faculty office space. The three-story classroom wing and two-story administration wing are joined by a high ceiling lobby that contains an elevated walkway at the second floor. The lobby features Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel (AESS) columns and struts that reflect the natural light that floods into the space from a tall curtain wall exterior and a network of skylights which are interwoven between horizontal steel bracing, wood decking and suspended acoustical panels.
