Named for a historic plywood mill on downtown Olympia's East Bay, this project is comprised of two 9,200 SF townhome buildings and a 142,000 SF mixed-use apartment building with 87 total luxury living units. The townhomes include three stories of wood framed construction designed for tuck-under parking. The foundation is supported from steel pipe piling with a concrete mat foundation. The mixed-use apartment building includes four stories of wood-frame construction residential space over one story of concrete podium slab with retail space. Due to poor soil conditions at the site, PCS worked with the geotechnical engineer to dial in the most cost-effective deep foundation system.
